Sheraton Kauai

Two separate cogeneration plants with 250 kW power generation capacity each are designed to be located on Ocean and Garden Properties of this hotel. Domestic hot water demand of both hotel properties will be met by the cogeneration plant. This project offers great energy savings since waste heat will be recovered for domestic water heating and no power transmission losses will occur since the power generators will be next to the hotel buildings. Project is ongoing.

University of Hawaii, Hilo

AMEL Technologies, Inc. provided plumbing design services for campus-wide ADA plumbing upgrades including renovation of public restrooms, classroom sinks, drinking fountains and electric water coolers. Additionally, three dormitory units and laundry room facilities were renovated to comply with ADA requirements. HVAC design services were also provided for one ADA dormitory unit and a new stadium press box. Project is ongoing.

Kaiser Permanente Regional Administration Consolidation

AMEL Technologies, Inc. provided HVAC and plumbing design for about 80,000 square feet of building space at the Dole Cannery Building and Kaiser Regional Headquarters Building on Oahu. Design included variable frequency drives on air handling units and variable air volume units, carbon dioxide monitoring, and low flow plumbing fixtures. Project is ongoing.

Lokahi Public Housing

Plumbing design for renovation of 28 housing units at Lokahi Public Housing in Hilo, Hawaii was provided. Work included replacement of kitchen and bathroom plumbing fixtures, laundry trays, washer and dryer plumbing, and exhaust connections. Project is ongoing.

Village at Koloa Town

This mixed-use development in Koloa, Kauai includes 41,500 square feet of office/retail space and 55,600 square feet of residential space. AMEL Technologies, Inc. is providing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design. Project is ongoing.

Schofield Building 681

AMEL Technologies, Inc. is providing mechanical engineering design, including plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection system design and building air conditioning system automation for this 10,000 square foot building in Schofield Barracks on Oahu. Project is ongoing.

Yacht Harbor Tower

AMEL Technologies, Inc. provided HVAC and plumbing design for about 350 guestrooms at this Waikiki hotel on Oahu. This project was completed in 2008.

Kaiser High School

AMEL Technologies, Inc. completed mechanical design work for the replacement of an existing 32-ton DX system with new energy efficient equipment for Building G on this Oahu high school campus. Project completed in 2008.

Banyan Street Manor

Plumbing design for renovation of ten residential units within the housing complex was provided by AMEL Technologies, Inc. Work included replacement of kitchen and bathroom plumbing fixtures and back-up water heating tanks. One of the residential units designed to meet ADA requirements. This project was completed in 2008.

Waiakamilo Business Center, 4th Floor

AMEL Technologies, Inc. provided mechanical engineering design services for this 20,000 square foot office building located on Oahu in Hawaii. Design provided variable frequency drives on air handling units, variable air volume units, and carbon dioxide monitoring. The project was completed in 2007.

Downey Residence

AMEL Technologies, Inc. provided mechanical engineering design services (HVAC and plumbing design) for this 5,000 square foot residence located in North Kohala, Hawaii. The project was completed in 2007.

Choong Residence

AMEL Technologies, Inc. provided mechanical engineering design services (HVAC and plumbing design) for this 6,500 square foot residence located in Kahala, Oahu. The design included photovoltaic lighting, wind power, and utilized sustainable building materials. The project was completed in 2007.

T-Mobile, Honolulu

AMEL Technologies, Inc. provided HVAC and plumbing design for switch room, control facility, and office space. HVAC design included use of water source heat pumps for the office area air conditioning and use of computer room air conditioning equipment for the switch room, control room, and AC/DC power rooms. Mechanical support for installation of an 800 kW generation was also part of the project. Work on this 17,000 square foot facility was completed in 2007.

Uehara Dental Clinic

AMEL Technologies, Inc. provided plumbing, HVAC, and compressed air and vacuum system design for this 7,500 square foot dental office in Hilo, Hawaii. The project was completed in 2006.
