Kohala Public Library

GOAL: LEED NC V2.2 SILVER - 5,000 SQ.FT.
AMEL PROJECT COORDINATION AND ENERGY MODELING
Located in Kapaau, Hawaii, this library includes photovoltaic panels, an on-site wind turbine, rainwater catchment system, low-flow plumbing fixtures, and mixed-mode natural ventilation and mechanical air conditioning, among many other green building features. Project is ongoing.

New Moon Foundation Center

GOAL: LEED NC V2.2 PLATINUM - 4,000 SQ.FT.
AMEL LEED PROJECT COORDINATION, ENERGY MODELING AND FUNDAMENTAL COMMISSIONING
Located in Kapaau, Hawaii, this project features on-site hydroelectricity generation, photovoltaic panels, natural ventilation, and low flow plumbing fixtures. Project is ongoing.

Volcano Village Art and Education Center

GOAL: LEED NC V2.2 GOLD - 5,000 SQ.FT.
AMEL PROJECT COORDINATION, FUNDAMENTAL COMMISSIONING, MECHANICAL ENGINEERING DESIGN
Located in Volcano Village, Hawaii, this facility will feature radiant floor heating, solar water heating, photovoltaic panels, rainwater catchment, low-flow plumbing fixtures, and natural ventilation. Project is ongoing.

The Nature Conservancy, Hawaii

ACHIEVED LEED EB O&M SILVER - 13,000 SQ.FT
AMEL LEED PROJECT COORDINATION,FUNDAMENTAL COMMISSIONING, MECHANICAL ENGINEERING DESIGN
The Nature Conservancy's main Hawaii office located in downtown Honolulu features photovoltaic panels, low flow plumbing fixtures, a 'green cleaning' policy that promotes the use of environmentally friendly cleaning products, and 'sustainable purchasing' policy. A recently completed HVAC renovation realized a 40% reduction in building energy use.

Schofield Childhood Development Center

GOAL: LEED NC V2.2 SILVER - 23,000 SQ.FT
AMEL LEED PROJECT COORDINATION AND ENERGY MODELING
This education facility is located in Schofield Barracks on Oahu and has low flow plumbing fixtures and an energy efficient HVAC system. Project is ongoing.
